Orville E. Crofford, 97, died Saturday, June 8, 2013, in Omaha.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet (Duane) Katz and Mary (Rob) Werner, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Margaret Crofford and Patricia Bosak, a brother- and sister-in-law, Wally and Buzz Bosak, a brother-in-law, Donald Wynne and many nieces and nephews.
Orville was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Crofford, a son, Richard, brothers, Kenneth and Burnell, and as sister, Dorothy.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 11, and a vigil service was held at 7 p.m. at the West Center Chapel of Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler Mortuaries in Omaha.
Burial will be Wednesday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Omaha. Entombment will be in the Calvary Mausoleum, with military rites by Benson VFW Post 2503.
Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Lung Association or Nebraska Humane Society. Special thanks are expressed to the Silver Memories staff and Hillcrest Hospice.
