Edwin J. Nutzman, 87, of Falls City, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at Sabetha, KS. He was born Jan. 5, 1929 at Falls City to the late John and Sophia (Scholl) Nutzman.
He married Jean I. Schutte on August 2, 1952 at Pawnee City. She passed away on Feb. 16, 1999.
Edwin was raised in rural Falls City on the family farm. Once married the couple lived in various locations around Richardson County until they established their home on the family farm 14 miles northeast of Falls City. Other than farming, he enjoyed performing many tasks with his bulldozer. He was a member of the Falls City Rural Fire Dept. and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his son, Rick (Susan) Nutzman, of Falls City; daughter, Dania Nutzman, of Lincoln; brother, Glen (Betty) Nutzman, of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Cozett (Isaac) Knight, of Belton, MO, Devan Nutzman, of Vancouver, WA, Derrick Nutzman, of Lincoln; two great-grandchildren.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Leroy; and sister, Marceile Ankrom.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, with Wanda Biel officiating. Interment will follow at the Williamsville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
