Georgia Ann Tisdel, 82, Leavenworth, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Country Care of Easton. She was born Nov. 28, 1936, in Downs, Kansas, the daughter of Otto and Ida (Schoen) Franke. Her family moved to Falls City, Nebraska, when she was a small child.
On Dec. 25, 1954, she married Wilbur “Pete” Tisdel. They lived in Alamogordo, New Mexico, until 1961, then moved to Leavenworth. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Vollersten, Castle Rock, Colorado, Vickie Schlonga and Kathy Budke, both of Leavenworth; her sons, Ricky Tisdel, Greers Ferry, Arkansas and Randy Tisdel, Springfield, Virginia.; a brother, Larry Franke; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several cousins, that were more like siblings.
Georgia worked at Leavenworth High School and drove a school bus at Fort Leavenworth. She was a member of the Leavenworth Cruisers, The Red Hats and was active in her church, where she loved playing cards and games with all her amazing friends. She never missed any of her grandchildren’s sports or school events.
