John “Boulder” Ramer

John “Boulder” Ramer, 77, of Falls City, passed away April 24, 2019, at Lincoln, NE. He was born December 29, 1941, at Barada, NE to Joseph and Alice (Sailors) Ramer.

John was raised in the Barada area and graduated from Shubert High School in 1958. He was given the nickname of “Boulder” during his junior football season in high school. He married Judy Poorker on July 15, 1960, at Hiawatha, KS. 

Following graduation he worked on farms then for Union Pacific Railroad and then for Burlington Northern Railroad, becoming disabled in 1978.

John is survived by his wife, Judy of Falls City, daughters, Lou Anne Munoz and her husband Tito of Verdon, NE, Cindy Clancy and her husband Steve of Dawson, NE, Sheila Snodgrass and her husband Dan of Humboldt, NE Amy Gibson and her husband Rich of Falls City, son John Ramer II and his wife Stacy of Shubert, NE, brother, Gary and his wife Janice of Reserve, KS, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dorman, Herbert and Bud all in infancy and Don, sisters, Doris Jared, Melba Rowell, and Bonnie Eaton.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Tom Bentley officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
