ROBERT MCAFEE

Robert D. McAfee, 82, of Falls City, passed away Nov. 8, 2016 at Lincoln, NE. He was born March 14, 1934 at Forbes, MO to the late Dewey and Marie (Waggoner) McAfee.
Robert was raised in the Holt County Missouri area and graduated from Oregon High School 1952 and then attended Northwest Missouri State College for two years before being drafted into the U. S. Army. On Jan. 4, 1963 he married Karen “Katie” Caton at Mound City, MO. She passed away September 23, 2014.
Following his discharge, he returned to Mound City, MO and worked for John Deere, transferring to Falls City following the couple’s marriage. He worked for them for 30 years before opening All State Equipment and selling farm equipment. He did this up until his death. He is a member of the First Christian Church of Falls City.
Robert is survived by son, Mike McAfee of Falls City; daughter, Misti Lehmkuhl of Hiawatha, KS; sister, Delores Brown of Mississippi; grandchildren, A. J., Trey and Kellen McAfee, Madison and Dalton Lehmkuhl; great grandchildren, Lily and Annie McAfee, Grayson Hargett.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Gordon and Leon, sister, Eileen Planalp.
His funeral was held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Richard Lehmkuhl officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be at a later date at Steele Cemetery.
