Teresa M. Chab, 76, of Falls City, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at Lincoln. She was born March 4, 1938 at Fairmont to the late John and Mary (Cecava) Stech.
On Aug. 22, 1959 she married Robert J. Chab at Tobias, NE. He passed away Jan. 6, 1984
Teresa graduated from Milligan (NE) High School in 1956. She attended Fairbury Junior College and Doane College, working towards an elementary teaching degree. She taught school near Milligan and once married the couple established their home at Crete, where and she worked for Lincoln Public Schools. After moving to Falls City she was elementary school secretary for many years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, PCCW, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Teresa is survived by her son, John (Terri), of Lincoln; five grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ronda Chab, of Falls City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Norma Jean and Jo Ann; sons, Frank, Joseph and Jerry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Msgr. Robert A. Roh as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.
A Catholic Daughter Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, followed by a Parish Rosary at 5:30, also at the funeral home. The family will receive friends following the Rosary.
