Karen Kerkow, 51, Falls City, passed away Oct. 19, 2013 at Falls City. She was born May 24, 1962, at Nebraska City to the late Gordon and Addie (Freel) Kerkow.
Karen was raised in the Nemaha area and moved to Falls City in 1979. She graduated from Falls City High School in 1980. Following graduation she became employed at Falls City Care Center and then worked at Kettor Manor. She became employed at Sun Mart and had to retire in 1998 because of her health.
Karen is survived by her brothers, Gene Kerkow, of Huron, SD, William Kerkow, of Stella, Michael Kerkow, of Hiawatha, KS; half-sister, Shavona Kerkow; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, with Eleanor Last officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.
The family received friends Monday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
