Lois Merle Nanomantube, 78, of Sunrise Beach, MO, died peacefully with her sons and their wives present on May 19, 2013, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO.
Lois was born on May 29, 1934, in Rulo, the daughter of Ruth and Earl Frederick. She grew up in the Falls City and Rulo areas, was head cheerleader and graduated from Reserve, KS, High School in 1952.
She was united in marriage to Wayne Nanomantube Aug. 3, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Falls City. They lived in Kansas City, KS, where they lived until moving to Fremont, CA, in 1964. Lois worked as data center manager at the Washington Memorial Hospital in Fremont, CA, until her retirement in 1989, when she and her husband moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, at Sunrise Beach, MO.
In 2002, only two weeks short of their 50th anniversary, Mr. Nanomantube passed away.
Lois was a charter member and dedicated church group leader and for years sent care packages to troops overseas. She was an avid supporter of animal rights.
She is survived by sons, Steven Allen (Kathy) Nanomantube, New Bloomfield, MO, and Thomas Wayne (Brenda) Nanomantube, Monrovia, CA; sisters, Norma Street, Florida, and Ginny Hager, Oregon; a grandson and a granddaughter.
Lois was buried at Steele Cemetery in Falls City.
