Archibald “Arch” J. Weaver, Jr., 83, of Lakewood, CO, passed away on August 28 after an extended illness. He was born in Falls City on November 15, 1934, the son of Archibald J. “Jack” Weaver and Marguerite C. Weaver.
He graduated from Falls City High School in 1953 and Kansas State University, Manhattan, in 1957 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Following college, Arch served as an officer in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of 1st Lieutenant, and was stationed for a period of time in South Korea. After the Army, he held engineering and management jobs in Texas, California and Colorado. His last position was Facilities Manager for the Denver RTD.
Arch is survived by sons Kenneth (Carla) and Ronald, daughter Marguerite “Margo” (Dwayne) Warmus, all of the Denver area, daughter Sharlene Parker, Rialto, CA, brother John (Loralee), Santa Barbara, CA,six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his parents, son Robert, and brother David.
Arch loved returning to Falls City to visit family and friends, and rarely missed the yearly high school reunion until he was no longer able to travel.
