Maribell L. Bartholomew

Maribell L. Bartholomew, 83, of Falls City, died Monday, May 27, 2013, at Falls City. She was born Sept. 7, 1929, at Morrill, KS, to the late Sanford and Ida (Witschy) Diehl.

Maribell married Leonard Bartholomew on June 15, 1947, at Morrill. He died April 3, 1986.

She graduated from Morrill High School in 1947. The couple established their home in Morrill and moved to Salem in 1982. She was a homemaker and then worked at the Brown County Infirmary, at Wilde Tool and S& STool in Hiawatha, KS; she also worked at Careage Estates as a CNA and Director of Activities, retiring in 2000.

She’s survived by a daughter, Connie (Gayle) Kennedy, of FC; sons, Bob (Beverly) Bartholomew, of Weatherford, TX, and Bruce (Cheryl) Bartholomew, of Savannah, MO; daughter-in-law, Judy Bartholomew, of Fayette, AL; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.

Maribell was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Russell (in infancy) and Charles; granddaughter, Karolyn Kennedy; two sisters, Nadine Tilley and Helen Brougher; brother, Glenn Diehl.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Dorr & Clark Funeral Home, with Rev. Ernest Moravec officiating; interment in Maple Cemetery, Salem. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Dorr & Clark.
