Tonight’s SENBC Southern Division finals have been moved from Auburn to Falls City due to heavy rains.

Auburn managed five runs with two outs en route to a six-run sixth inning Wednesday night at SNC Field to pull away from hosts Falls City for a 7-0 divisional victory in the first round of the Southeast Nebraska Baseball Conference tournament.

Falls City’s Derek McCann finished 3-3 with three runs-batted-in Tuesday night to lead the Blue Storm Juniors past Auburn, 9-4, in the first round of the Southeast Nebraska Baseball Conference tournament.

Falls City’s Blue Storm Seniors split a pair of games last week and enter this week’s Southeast Nebraska Baseball Conference tournament as the four seed.

Three Seniors and three Juniors will represent the Blue Storm on the Southern Division in Sunday’s SENBC All-Star game.

A four-run fifth inning wasn’t enough Wednesday night for the Falls City Blue Storm Seniors, as they fell 10-7 in a Southeast Nebraska Baseball Conference game at Plattsmouth.

The Blue Storm Juniors piled up 41 runs in three wins last week and have now won six in a row as the improved to 8-4 on the season.

Falls City’s Blue Storm Seniors picked up wins over Hiawatha, KS, Tecumseh and Fairbury last week, but fell to Waverly Saturday night at SNC Field in the championship game of the Fight for the Falls Tournament.
