Norma Lee Duerfeldt, 90, of Falls City, NE, passed away August 4, 2021 at Falls City. She was born August 2, 1931 at Falls City to Adolph and Irene (Kistner) Constantine.
She married Marvin Duerfeldt on May 20, 1951 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He passed away July 28, 2021.
Norma Lee was raised in rural Falls City and graduated Falls City High School in 1948. She attended Peru State Teachers College and then taught in rural schools until marriage. When married the couple established their home on the family farm where she was a homemaker, farm wife and mother. She raised a large garden, did canning, raised chickens and was an avid crocheter. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church where she was organist for many years and also did church cleaning.
Norma Lee is survived by her children, Barb Elliott and her husband Ron of Falls City, Sharon Bennett and her husband Ray of Cedar Rapids, NE, Glenda Kermoade of Superior, NE, Richard and his wife Jan of Falls City, Cathy Scholl and her husband Dan of Falls City, sisters, Doris Weaver and Elaine Heineman of Falls City, twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother in infancy, Richard Marvin Constantine.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Hader officiating. Interment will be in Williamsville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
