Martha Ann (Simmons) Higgins, 83, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at Creve Coeur, MO. She was born in Rulo on Dec. 22, 1932.
She graduated from FC Sacred Heart in 1950.
Beloved wife of the late Herbert Higgins for 59 years; devoted and loving mother of Kevin (Carol) Higgins, Eileen Munoz, Herb (Patrice) Higgins, Patrick (Bonnie) Higgins, Brendan (Kristi) Higgins, Kathleen (Scott) DeAvilla, and Maureen (Steve) Talbott; cherished and devoted grandmother of 21 and great-grandmother of seven; loving sister of Catherine Wheat, of Lawerence, KS, and Fran Sedlik, of Seward, AK; loving sister-in-law of Mary Ellen Higgins, of Atlanta; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, cousin and friend.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at Ascension Catholic Church, Chesterfield, MO. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
