The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury accident Wednesday afternoon, May 14, at the Shubert corner (Hwy. 62-67 junction).
Involved in the accident was Carmen Morehead, driving a pickup truck, and Stephen Randall, driving a Richardson County rock truck. The Nebraska State Patrol was called in to investigate the accident, which is ongoing at this time.
According to Nebraska State Patrol Spokesperson Deb Collins, Randall was eastbound on Hwy. 62 in the dumptruck and failed to stop at a stop sign when Morehead’s northbound Chevy Silverado struck the right side of the county vehicle.
No citations have yet been issued.
Both Morehead and Randall were transported by the Falls City Ambulance to the Falls City Community Medical Center. The Nemaha Rescue and Fire Service were also on scene to assist.
