Larry Scott Solt

Larry Scott Solt, of Corning, Kansas, born on September 30, 1957, in Falls City, Nebraska, to the late Earl and Barbara Solt of Corning, passed away of a sudden heart attack at age 61 on May 10, 2019, in his apartment in Topeka. 

As a young adult, he was a horse trainer and a talented trumpeter. As a trumpeter, he received the John Philip Sousa award and a college scholarship. 

 He also excelled at math and physics.  As an adult, he suffered from mental illness.  Yet throughout his struggle, he maintained his soft and kind manner.  He was in the Healthcare industry as a food service worker at Atria for 27 years and was loved by his coworkers.  

Larry is survived by his brothers, Ron Solt (wife, Kay), Doug Solt (wife, Bobbi); and sister, Amy Barber.

The memorial service will be private.
