Harley W. Jaide, Jr

Bladen resident Harley W. Jaide, Jr., 61, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, from complications following surgery for lung cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends at the time of his death.  

Harley was born May 20, 1957, to Bess and Harley Jaide, Sr. in Enid, OK. The family moved to Falls City, when he was a young boy. He graduated from Falls City High School prior to joining the Army. 

He served two years active duty and two years as a reservist with the Nebraska National Guard. He married Deb Richardson on August 15, 1990, they have resided in Bladen, NE for the last 20 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Jaide, of Bladen, NE; son, Joshua Jaide (Haley Baker) – Bladen; daughters: Jeanne (Dave) Kaufman – Bedford, TX, Jody (John) Schlachter – Colleyville, TX; grandkids: Clark Schlachter, Maggie Schlachter, Kaylen Jaide, Hunter Jaide, and  he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of another grandchild in July. Many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Life will be 2-6 p.m. Friday, May 24, at Highland Park in Hastings. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
