Norma Wintz, 90, of Falls City, NE, passed away November 15, 2018 in Falls City. She was born January 4, 1928 in Verdon, NE, to Ferdinand and Opal (Settles) Gebhard.
Norma was raised in Verdon and graduated Shubert High School in 1946. Following graduation, she moved to Falls City and found employment.
She married Lawrence Wintz on August 1, 1950 in Denver, CO. He passed away April 4, 2000.
When married the couple established their home in Falls City and she worked at the courthouse until 1960 when she decided to be a homemaker. She eventually became the bookkeeper for Borher Brothers and later worked for the Richardson County Treasurer until she retired.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Linda Frederick and her husband Steve of Falls City, sons, Michael and his wife Toni of Verdon, Ronald and his significant other, Tracy O’Brien of Falls City, eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, David and Harold Gebhard and sisters, Violet Richardson and Bernice Anderson.
Her funeral was held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Father Thomas Dunavan officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.
The family received friends on Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
