RICHARD H. MOSES

Richard H. Moses, 79, of Falls City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016. He was born Nov. 9, 1937 at Lincoln to the late Eldridge and Elaine Moses.

Richard married Nancy Duke on June 17, 1991 at Champaign, IL.

He was raised in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School. He then attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. After graduation, he attended Wichita State University, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. He began his teaching career at the University of Illinois, where he taught for 37 years before retiring in 1999. Following retirement the couple resettled in Falls City.

Richard was a big supporter of the Richardson County Humane Society and EDGE. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Moses, of Falls City; sons, Paul Moses, of Lincoln, and Richard (Seegal) Moses, Jr., of Red Bank, NJ; daughter, Christian Moses-Igan and her husband Ian, of Austin, TX; step-son, Bryan Drew, of Lincoln; brother, James (Blair) Moses, of Meza, AZ; and 12 grandchildren.

There will be a private family graveside service at a later date. No viewing or visitation. Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, of Falls City, is in charge of arrangements.
