RUDOLPH JAMES HABRICH

Rudolph James Habrich, 86, of Falls City (formerly of rural DuBois), passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Regional Medical Center in Lincoln. He was born on Sept. 27, 1929 in Pawnee City to Adolph R. and Bessie (Daniel) Habrich.  

He was raised on the family farm near DuBois, where he attended country school at Union District #31 through the 8th grade. After graduating from country school, Rudolph began farming with his father.  

On Nov. 26, 1950, Rudolph enlisted in the Army National Guard of Nebraska and served his country until being honorably discharged in Falls City on July 20, 1957.

Rudolph was a life-long farmer in the DuBois and Pawnee City area. Later in life, he moved to Falls City when his health began to decline.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rudolph is survived by his long-time friend, Kathleen Roussan, and her husband, William, of Falls City; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 at Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at Wherry Mortuary. Interment at DuBois Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
