DORETTA LOVENBURG

Doretta I. Lovenburg, 74, of Falls City, passed away June 12, 2016 at Falls City. She was born on Oct. 26, 1941 at Elk Creek, NE to the late Harold and Thelma (Cole) Powell.
Doretta lived in various places growing up and graduated from Salem High School in 1959. She married Jack Lovenburg on September 5, 1959 at Phillipsburg, KS. When married the couple established their home in York, NE and then moved to Orleans, NE and in 1965 they moved to Falls City where she worked at Falls City Hospital and Montgomery Ward until 1977 when the couple purchased Jack’s Processing. She was able to do all aspects of the business and butchering. She retired in Jan. of 2016 due to her health. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Lovenburg of Falls City. Daughters,  Linda (Mark) Junker and Wendy (Robbie) Craig, all of Falls City. Son, Troy (Donna) Lovenburg, of Falls City. Sister: Alyce McCourtney of Auburn, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roger McCourtney.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Reverend John Hogue officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-8:00 p.m. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
