GENEVA MARIE ‘SUE’ BURNSIDES

Geneva Marie “Sue” Burnsides, 86, of Falls City, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at Falls City.  She was born June 29, 1929 at Oregon, MO to the late William and Nellie (Harper) Muse.
    Sue was raised at Oregon and attended Union Country School. Following her schooling she trained to become a Certified Nursing Assistant and later earned a certificate in Health Nutrition.
 She worked at nursing homes in Oregon, St. Joseph and after 20 plus years she retired from Laverna Village Nursing Home at Savannah, MO and then moved to Falls City. She was a farm girl at heart and also did farm work throughout her life. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church at Rulo
She is survived by her daughter: Cheryl (Ronald) Prater of Falls City, brothers: Thomas (Mary) Muse of St. Joseph; Donald (Rayne) Muse of Louisiana; sister: Toynette “Jane” Haskins of Tyler, TX. Grandchildren: Tamara Black, Dustin Prater, Brandon Prater and Brandon Muse. She is also survived by her 11 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by  her parents; son, Gary Muse; brothers, Lin, Roy and Bob Muse and sister, Della Bowland.
Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend John Hogue officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. Family received friends on Friday, Dec. 11, from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
