B. Lucille (Parker) DeJonge, 90, of Auburn, formerly of rural Humboldt, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was born on Oct. 4, 1925, in Beaver, OK, to Ruben and Flora (Patte) Parker.
She grew up and attended school in Beaver. On April 19, 1945 Lucille was united in marriage to George DeJonge in Beaver. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Richardson County and farmed in the area from 1945 until 1990, when George passed away. Lucille was confirmed and baptized at the Long Branch Lutheran Church in rural Humboldt and later transferred her membership to Faith Lutheran Church in Humboldt. She enjoyed farming with George and visiting with family and friends.
She was preceded in death her by parents; in-laws, Eibo and Elise DeJonge; brothers, Jay, Dillard and Ruben Parker; infant siblings Bob and Theta Parker; a granddaughter, Trisha Watton; and sisters-in-law, Edna and Emma Lee DeJonge.
Lucille is survived by her loving children, Robert “Bob” (Cathy) DeJonge, of Sedalia, MO, Glenda (Craig) Johnson, of Auburn, Dell (Crys) DeJonge, of rural Humboldt; grandchildren, Catrina (Richard) DeJonge-Moritz of Sedalia, Travis Watton, of Maui, HI, Sandra (Derrick) Fujii, of Sedalia, Tiff DeJonge, of Tecumseh, Jorja DeJonge, of rural Humboldt; step-grandchildren, Kirk (Jessica) Johnson, of Fresno, CA, Jerrod Lippold, of rural Humboldt, Jeramiah Lippold, of Falls City; great-grandchildren, Oliver Moritz, Hannah and Emmalee Fujii, all of Sedalia; step great-granddaughter, Livia Johnson, of Fresno; sisters, Ima (Ray) Loftin, of Amarillo, TX, Louise Behrends, of Johnson; a brother, Otto “Corky” Parker, of Beaver; sisters-in-law, Audry and Sandy Parke, of Beaver; brothers-in-law, Lammert, Ommo (Marilyn) and Ed DeJonge, all of Humboldt; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Humboldt, with Rev. Jonathan Rathjen officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt. Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at the Humboldt Cemetery.
