Queen Bailey & King Baker – FCHS Homecoming 2015

    Falls City High School seniors Bailey Bindle, daughter of Brian and Shawna Bindle, and Anthony Baker, son of Jamie and Meg Baker, were crowned 2015 FCHS Homecoming Queen and King at halftime of Friday’s Tiger football victory over Auburn at Jug Brown Stadium.
    While a student at Falls City High School, Bailey has competed in volleyball and cheerleading all four years, served as cheer captain the last two years and has been named an All-American Cheerleader. Bailey is a member of the Dance Team, serving as a captain, and has also played golf throughout high school. She has served as a class officer and is a member of the student council, the Spanish Club and of S.A.D.D. She has participated in mock trial and has served as a student ambassador and drum major for the band. Bailey has made the Orange and Black Honor Roll, is a member of National Honor Society and has also earned awards for her perfect attendance.
    Outside of school, Bailey has assisted with American Red Cross Blood Drives, is a member of the CCA Competition Cheer Team and serves as a mentor for the FC Middle School Cheerleading Squad and C.L.O.W.N. Troop. She also volunteers as a Falls City Youth Ambassador and is a member of the Youth Action Board in Lincoln. During the summer, Bailey works as a lifeguard and a Red Cross swimming instructor and as a car hop at Mutt & Jeff Drive-In. She is a member of Immanuel Methodist Church.
    Bailey’s future plans include attending Missouri Western State University to major in social work and obtain a certificate in drug and alcohol counseling. After college, she plans to return to Falls City to work with area youth as a prevention specialist to educate young people on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse and the finality of suicide.
    At FCHS, Anthony has competed in cross country all four years, as well as basketball and track for three years so far. He has served as a class officer all four years, participated in Mock Trial and One Act, and is a member of Peers Always Learning, as well as S.A.D.D.
    Anthony is on the Orange and Black Honor Roll, is a member of the National Honor Society and earned Lincoln Journal Star Academic All-State honors.
    During the summer, he works as a lifeguard and a Red Cross swimming instructor. He also volunteers as a Falls City Youth Ambassador, swim team coach and assists with the summer lunch program.
    Next year Anthony plans to attend college to obtain a degree in sports medicine.
    Anthony and Bailey were crowned by the 2014 FCHS King and Queen, Tucker Merz and Sydney Prichard. Attending the past King & Queen were freshmen Student Council representatives Gabe Romo and Hannah Kirkendall.
