Patrick J. McDermott, 88, of Las Vegas, NV, died Feb. 8, 2015.
He served in the 96th Infantry in the Asiatic Pacific during World War II from Aug. 26, 1944 to Aug. 28, 1946. Patrick was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, among other medals.
He was a very active member of the VFW and American Legion Clubs and was the Richardson County Veteran’s Service Officer from 1947 until 1988.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Gladys, of Las Vegas; daughter, Sharlin McDermott, of Firth; sister, Beatrice McDermott, of Falls City; nieces and nephews.
