Terry Michael Shores, 67, of Kearney, MO, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 22, 1947 in Falls City, to Arthur and Ramona (Oldfield) Shores.
Terry married his wife, Peggy (Waggoner), in 1967 and they started their family in White Cloud, KS. He worked at Union Pacific Railroad, a dedicated conductor with nearly 50 years of service. Terry was proud to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved classic cars. Terry attended the First Baptist Church, of Kearney.
Terry is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Kearney; two daughters, Terri Corder, of Lee’s Summit, and Rebecca (Tom Jr.) Modin, of Kearney; a son, Colby Shores, of Kearney; six granddaughters, Leah, Kourtney, Kirsten, Malory, Adelynn and Cadence; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; and great-grandson, Kaden; his mother-in-law, Mary Waggoner; two sisters, Vikki Nichols, of Tulsa, OK, and Andrea Shores, of Ohio.
Memorial Services for Terry will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015, with visitation beginning at noon, at the First Baptist Church of Kearney. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House, (816) 502-8935.
