VIRGINIA ‘GINI’ FOURAKER

Virginia “Gini” Fouraker, 65, of Tucson, AZ, lost her short battle with cancer on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born to Marvin and Marie Kentopp on Sept. 9, 1949 in Falls City and she grew up in Salem.  

Gini graduated from Falls City High School.

In 1968, she married Frank “Butch” Crane Jr. and they had one son, Kenneth. They divorced a few years later.

She married Edwin Fouraker on Dec. 31, 1980. Edwin brought his children, William and Gail Fouraker to this union. In 1994, Gini and Ed moved to Tucson. Gini retired from Tucson Unified School District in 2014 after 16 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin, of Tucson; son, Kenneth Crane; daughter, Gail (John) Parker; step-son, William Fouraker; sisters, Joyce Repp, Mary Miller, Janet (Lawrence) Rowland, Leona (Sherman) Rowland; nine nieces; five grandchildren; two great granddaughters; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Mass will be said for Virginia at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Falls City. A Rosary will be read at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11 at the church. Interment will follow at Maple Cemetery in Salem.
