Last week, The Falls City Journal published a story about local people who traveled to Pilger to help clean up after the devastating storms. It mentioned that the beauty of a small town is the people who keep on giving. Today, a couple more small-town heroes who dedicate their time and heartfelt efforts to innocent creatures must be honored. Those are the heroes behind the Richardson County Humane Society.
Ardis Ramsey and Julie Phroper know the story behind every one of their animals. When one walks into the shelter, they are greeted with a meow, a bark, purring, and a lot of tail-wagging. Julie and Ardis can immediately recall each and every animal’s name and the story behind the furry four-legged creatures. They know these animals as if they are family; that’s because to Julie and Ardis, these animals are family.

2.) To purchase the E-edition, on the left side of the fcjournal.net home page, click the blue ‘Create an account’ link. A new page will open and please fill out the necessary information in the ‘User Registration’ form below the heading, ‘New User Account With Membership Subscription.’ After you have completed the form, click ‘Register’ and you will be redirected to the Journal’s PayPal account where you can pay for your subscription. After payment is made you will be taken back to the home page where you can use your log-in name and password to begin using your subscription. Please allow a few minutes for your payment to process before logging in to the site.
