Jesse Henry Kirkendall, 86, of Falls City, passed away Friday, Feb. 21, at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln. The son of Ben L. and Sophia (Parchen) Kirkendall, he was born Nov. 1, 1927 in Falls City.
He was raised in Barada. Jesse married Donna Reschke on May 26, 1950 at the Methodist Church in Falls City.
Jesse worked as a farmer for many years and as a carpenter for Byroms Construction. He was also a past member of the Elks Club in Falls City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Donna, of Falls City; son, Bruce (Janet) Kirkendall, of Auburn; daughter, Debra (Vernon) Shafer, of Falls City; grandchildren, Kody (Christen) Kirkendall, of Maple Grove, MN, and Kari (Jim) Nickman, of Kearney; great-grandchildren, Emma and Logan Nickman and Harper Kirkendall; brother, Dean Kirkendall, of Falls City; and sister, Mary Howard, of Barada; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services for Jesse H. Kirkendall are entrusted to the Hall Funeral Home of Falls City. His body was cremated and there will be a private family service at a later date.
