Helen R. Bieck, 90, of Falls City, passed away Jan. 24, 2014 at Falls City. She was born March 19, 1923 at Verdon to the late Walter and Lean (Harring) Fritz.
On Oct. 6, 1946 she married Ivan H. Bieck at Falls City. He passed away April 21, 1999.
Helen was raised in the Verdon and Falls City areas, graduating from Falls City High School. She became employed at the Bus Depot as a waitress. When married the couple established their home in Falls City. She was a homemaker and also was employed at Ketter Manor Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20th and Towle Sts.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Chris Linden-Ridnour and her husband, Dennis Ridnour, of LaVista; sisters, Dorothy (Richard) Werner, of Falls City, and Ethel Strough, of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Gary Linden; brothers, Harold and Ray Fritz; and a sister, Norma Fritz.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th and Towle), with Rev. Andrew Chavanak officiating. Inurnment will be in Steele Cemetery.
