The Falls City Public Schools’ Wall of Fame Steering Committee is seeking nominations for this year’s selection.
The Wall of Fame is not to be confused with the Sports Hall of Fame, although outstanding athletes could be included in the nominations.
The Wall of Fame’s purpose is to honor and preserve the history of those associated with the local public school system who have contributed meritorious service in their particular field.
This will be the l0th year of the project which was started by Bob Ferguson and Rex Jones, members of the class of l948.
Photos and biographies of the 17 persons who have been selected appear just opposite to the main entrance to FCHS.
The honoree or honorees are chosen by a Selection Committee which is comprised of persons representing different eras.
The person or persons selected will be inducted into the Wall of Fame during the High School’s annual Alumni Association’s dinner meeting at Prichard Auditorium on June 23.
Allan Tubach, architect/engineer, was the 2012 inductee.
Persons who wish to make nominations may obtain forms from Bob Ferguson, 2501 Towle Street, phone 402-245-2748. March 19, 2013, is the deadline for submitting nominations.
The names of persons previously nominated remain on the active list of the Selection Committee.
