Grover Daniel “Dan” Radley, 68, passed into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in Bakersfield, CA. He was born to Floyd and Margaret (Vice) Radley on Oct. 2, 1946.
Dan and Marilyn, his wife of 47 years, shared 46 years in Bakersfield raising their two children, Kristen and Jayme, and relishing in their lives with two sons-in-law, Tim and Woody, and five grandchildren. Dan taught science at Beardsley Junior High School for 38 years and is remembered as a beloved mentor by many. The most important thing for which Dan would wish to be remembered was his love for the Lord and sharing “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the GIFT of God: not of works, lest any many should boast.” Eph 2: 8,9.
Dan is survived by his wife; mother; children;, grandchildren; and a host of family members on the Radley and Kounter sides. His legacy remains in the hearts and minds of an untold number.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Falls City Church of the Nazarene, 1812 Wilson St. A video will be shown of Dan’s memorial service in California along with a time for anyone to share as they may feel led.
