Lowell L. Hellwig, 76, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2015. He was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Mt. Vernon, OH, the son of Herman and Belle Moxley Hellwig, the youngest of eight children.
He graduated from Reserve (KS) High School and was a former resident of Rulo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the Nebraska National Guard. Lowell was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM Clay Lodge, of Excelsior Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; two children, Lisa Dunn and Craig (Susan) Hellwig; five granddaughters and one great-grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Excelsior Springs Masonic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assn.
Cremation Society of KS & MO (www.kccremation.com; 816-822-9888) is in charge of arrangements.
Clayton E. Hardenberger, 77, of Falls City, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at Community Medical Center in Falls City. The son of James A. and Lela (LaMiller) Hardenberger, he was born March 5, 1936 in Falls City, one of nine children.
