Bill Kerkow, 59, of Stella, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Sabetha, KS. He was born on Sept. 3, 1955 at Nebraska City, the son of the late Gordon and Addie (Freel) Kerkow.
He lived south of Nemaha and graduated from Southeast Consolidated High School in 1974. Bill then took employment at Indian Cave State Park, retiring as head grounds keeper in 2010. He lived in Nemaha, Shubert and then finally to Stella. He liked to bowl and hunt mushrooms. Bill also did tire repair and recycling.
He is survived by brothers, Gene Kerkow, of Huron, SD, and Michael Kerkow, of Hiawatha, KS; sister, Shavon Kerkow, of Hays Springs; a niece and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Karen Kerkow.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, with Elle Last officiating. Inurnment will be in Prairie Union Cemetery. There is no viewing, visitation or book to sign.
