Lady Tigers 1-4 after pair of home losses

Falls City High’s Lady Tigers dropped a pair of home games last week and fell to 1-4 on the season.

Saturday against visiting Plattsmouth, the Lady Tigers 12-point halftime deficit was pushed to 23 by the end of the third quarter and FC eventually lost 61-33. Plattsmouth junior Sydney Tincher led her team with 12 points and six assists.

Last Monday, FC stumbled out of the gate and never recovered in a 51-33 loss to visiting Wymore Southern. FC was held to just two first-quarter points and never got closer than 10 points.

Senior Madison Olberding had a career night for FC, finishing with 17 team-high points on 8-of-11 shooting and also added five rebounds. Junior Sydney Armbruster added seven points.

The Lady Tigers face Maryville, MO at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the first round of the LeBlond Holiday Tourney. Win and they play Saturday afternoon at 4:30, lose and FC plays at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The girls’ championship is set for 5 p.m. next Monday; 3rd place at 2 p.m. Monday; 5th place at 11 a.m. Monday.
