Carolyn Arnold recently donated a pair of oil paintings to Falls City Care Center. Arnold, a one-time resident of the facility will have her paintings displayed in the main dining room of the Care Center, along with a plaque commemorating her donation.
Arnold drew her interest in painting years prior thanks to the mentoring given to her by Mrs. Luella Weddle. After years of practice, she gained more instruction from Mrs. Tootie Ebel, honing her artistic skills along the way.
A brief dedication was held on Friday, March 14, at Falls City Care Center to acknowledge Ms. Arnold’s donation. The plaque on the building’s south wall accompanies her paintings and reads, “Original artwork created and donated by talented local artist and dear friend of Falls City Care Center, Ms. Carolyn Arnold.”
The Journal would like to thank Falls City Care Center Administrator Chris Young for his help with this story.
