Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Tracy was born on July 23, 1962, in Los Angeles, CA, to Elmer “Bud” and Marilyn Jean (Moon) Swanson.  She attended Sabetha High School and graduated in the class of 1980.  In 1979, she was united in marriage to Alan Meyer in Sabetha, KS.  To this union, they were blessed with three children, Nathan, Judd and Monica.  Later, they divorced.  In 1993, Tracy was married to Doug Huettner in Rulo, NE.  Doug passed away on March 9, 2007, in Big Lake, MO.

From a young age, Tracy had a remarkable worth ethic and enjoyed taking on every challenge that was thrown her way.  In her young adult years, she modeled and was even a small business owner before the age of 30.  Later in life, she found enjoyment in public service and became vice chair of her local village board association where she eventually was instrumental in helping with disaster response and recovery efforts through multiple floods.  Her work helped thousands and she was even partnered with the ASPCA, FEMA and SEMA Teams.

Not only did Tracy enjoy helping people, but she also loved to work with animals and children.  During her time in Big Lake, MO, she found joy in renovating her dream home.  Tracy also built and managed the Swanson Family Website for many years until Ancestry.com acquired it.  In her spare time, she loved taking care of her plants, spending time with her pets and the people she loved.  Tracy would use her spare time to help out her family and friends in any way she could.  Current events and politics were something Tracy liked to keep up with, along with taking part in local civic duties.  She was an advocate for our veterans, as well as helping to support fostering those in need.

Tracy’s biggest love was her family.  She cherished her family and worked hard to give them the best memories of holidays, vacations and even summer camps.  Tracy took an active role in their clubs and associations, whether it was a Chaperone, Pack Mother, Den Mother or Class Parent.  She would often volunteer for local school events and had a close relationship with many teachers.

Tracy’s family asks that she be remembered for the beautiful, brave, indomitable force she was and the love and grace she shared with others.  Please honor her memory with stories and pictures.  Her presence will be missed, but her impact will never be forgotten by those affected.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Doug; parents; and twin sister, Teresa.

Survivors include her children, Nathan Meyer, TX, Judd Meyer, OK, and Monica Meyer, TX; granddaughter, Verity Meyer; and siblings, Lamar Swanson, AZ, Sherry Wilson, AZ, Kay Bitterman, KS, Mark Swanson, KS, and Monty Swanson, AZ;
