Steven “Steve” Eugene Scholl, 62, of Falls City, Nebraska was born on December 25,1960, in Falls City, Nebraska to Eugene and LaVon (Wert) Scholl. He was raised in Falls City where he received his schooling and graduated from Falls City High School with the class of 1979. He was a boxer from 1969-1982 where he accumulated a record of 59-12. Steve worked for Home Lumber Company, the City of Falls City at the waste/water treatment facility for 18 years, TRIGARD Vault and Falls City Monument Company and finally back to Home Lumber Company until his retirement. He umpired for local sports for 25 years, served eight years on City Council from 2008-2016, was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and served in the Army National Guard for 22 years until retirement. Steve’s most important accomplishment in life was his children.
Steve passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at his residence in Falls City, Nebraska having reached the age of sixty-two years, four months, and nine days. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Tom Scholl, step-father Don Stewart, and step-brothers Mike and Don Stewart.
Steve is survived by his children: Trent Scholl and wife Jayna of Nebraska City, NE; Ryan Nolte and wife Kim of Falls City, Landan Scholl of Falls City, Allyson Heuttner and husband Lee of Falls City, Lindsay Inmon and husband Andrew of Topeka, KS; grandchildren: Austin Ahern and wife Brianna of Shubert, NE; Jaden Nolte, Chase Nolte, Tessa Huettner, Ellori Huettner, Willow Huettner all of Falls City, Nolan Inmon of Topeka, KS; great-grandson Stattler Ahern of Shubert, NE; a sister Robin Hillagoss and husband Allen of Lincoln, NE; brother Kevin Stewart of Tecumseh, NE; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Steele Cemetery in Falls City, Nebraska.
Visitation will be from noon- 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at The Hall Funeral Home, 2403 Harlan Street in Falls City, Nebraska. Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
