Sally Ann (Stevicks) Rieger

Sally Ann (Stevicks) Rieger 73 of Falls City, Ne passed away on May 4th, 2023. She was born on March 22nd, 1950 to Charles and Shirley (Raper) Stevicks. She was born in Humboldt, NE. and lived her life in various towns in Richardson County Nebraska growing up. She graduated Humboldt High School in 1968. She moved to Falls City in 1971 and worked as a telephone operator at the local telephone company. She left this job in 1981 to be a full time stay at home mom raising her children. She met John Rieger in Rulo, NE in late 1973. They were later married on August 10, 1974 at the First Brethren Church by Rev. Donald Keck in Falls City. To this union they raised 4 children. When her youngest child was in kindergarten, she went to work at a telemarketing company in Falls City and worked there from 1990-2012 when she retired. At her job with telemarketing, she held the positions as an insurance agent and then a production supervisor. Sally truly loved her family and was always there for her family. She loved children and spent many years as a Sunday school teacher at the First Brethren Church. As much as Sally loved being a mom, she especially enjoyed being a grandma and great grandma. She was a very special part of her grandchildren’s lives and they spent many summers with her and every weekend at her house.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her in laws John and Lucille Rieger and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband of the home John Rieger, children, Julie (Mark) Collier of Falls City, JC (Sarah) Rieger of Valley Springs, CA, Jake Rieger of Falls City, Jason (Marianne) Rieger of Chicago, IL, grandsons, Joshua Perman of Sabetha, KS, Jackson Rieger Valley Springs, CA, Garrett Rieger, Gabe Canonico, Elijah Canonico of Falls City, granddaughters, Jessica Richbourg of Falls City, Jennifer Riesenberg (Jeff) of Omaha, NE, Jasmine Collier (Silas Garlington) of Overland Park, KS, Ashley Rieger of Valley Springs, CA, Eliza Rieger Chicago IL, great-grandchildren, Ben Scribner of Falls City, Amethyst Richbourg of Falls City, Trey Schuster of Omaha, NE, Jaxson Riesenberg of Omaha, Elliott Garlington of Overland Park, brothers, Bruce Stevicks of Falls City, Scott (Missy) Stevicks of Atglen, PA, Alan (Ann) Stevicks, Tulsa, OK, sisters, Carol Stevicks of Falls City, Sue Stevicks of Humboldt, sister-in-law, Roberta Rieger, niece, Cindy Looney, nephew, Jonathon Stevicks and many other family members.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating. Interment will be in Heim Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin Monday afternoon until 7:00 PM and Tuesday from 9-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.
