Henry Wendtlandt, Sr., 77, of Falls City, NE, passed away February 19, 2022 at his home. He was born November 15, 1944 at Berlin, Germany to Erwin and Anneliese (Meinkow) Wendlandt.
He married Donald Jean Tackett on October 7, 1963 at Falls City. She passed away April 11, 2000. He married Diana Shefferd on September 6, 2001 and she passed away December 4, 2021.
Henry immigrated with his mother to Falls City in 1956, attended Falls City High School and became a U. S. Citizen in 1986. He worked as a machine operator for Burlington Northern Rail Road for 31 years, retiring in 2002.
Henry is survived by his sons, Gary and his wife Michelle of Greeley, NE, Henry, Jr. and his wife Angie of Falls City, daughters, Sheila Phroper of Reserve, KS, Michele Wendtlandt and her significant other Lance Martin of Dawson, NE, sister, Alice Troncin of Falls City, ten grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives and step-father, Bennie Koso.
His funeral will be held on February 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Boatright officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
