Elizabeth Hewitt Chaney, 94, formerly of Aurora, Hebron, Ponca City, OK, Falls City, and Dallas, TX, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
She was born Jan. 11, 1919, in Aurora. Elizabeth was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. William Howard Preston, sons, Michael (Linda) Iversen, H. Lee (Kristie) Maschmann, and Matthew (Debbie) Maschmann, a stepson, Jim (Mildred) Maschmann, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew, a great-niece and a great-great-nephew.
Her husband, Chuck Chaney, preceded Elizabeth in death in 1984.
Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, April 5, at St. Joseph’s Chapel, 1201 E. Sandy Lake Road, Coppell, TX. Burial followed Saturday, April 6, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City, OK. Visitation was Thursday at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.
