Glenn Harold Godemann, 95, of Falls City, NE was born on October 16, 1926, and called to his eternal home on November 19, 2021.
Glenn was born in Falls City, NE to Joachim H. and Eleonora F. (Schmidt) Godemann. Glenn was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, six miles north, on November 7, 1926. He was confirmed on March 17, 1940 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
He was raised on the family farm three miles north of Falls City. He attended St. Paul’s parochial school and graduated from Falls City High School in 1944.
Glenn and Ramona Yoesel were united in marriage on June 22, 1952. To which they were blessed with two children, Theodore (Ted), and Cherri.
Glenn was a devoted farmer his entire life with his father and brother Joe. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army, having served from June 21, 1946 to July 20, 1947. His faith and family were his top priorities, and he was a member of many Lutheran organizations within his Church. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whom he shared his strong faith with.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dennis Godemann and Joe Godemann, sister Dorthy Wittrock, sister in-law Kay Godemann, brother in-law Max Roland and grandson Chadd Godemann.
Glenn is survived by his wife Ramona (Yoesel) Godemann, Falls City, NE, children, Theodore Godemann (Mona), Falls City, NE, Cherri Murphey, Wilber, NE, sister, Norma Roland of Elkhorn, NE, and sister-in-law, Linda Godemann, Bellevue, NE.
Glenn is survived by seven grandchildren, Gina Scheitel (Phil), Todd Godemann (Tiffany), Trevor Godemann (Katelyn), Christopher Godemann (Shayla), Bethany Godemann, Craig Murphey (Stacie), Kerri Murphey (Zane) and fourteen great-grandchildren, Lane (Nicole), Logan (Brooke), Brandon (Jessie), Aiden, Delaney, Hadley, Thomas, Elijah, Tristan, Ryder, Beau, Briar, Finnian, Callahan and two great-great-grandchildren, Everly and Bennie, and a great-granddaughter due in December.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (6 miles north of Falls City) with Reverend Daniel Gifford officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends on Monday, 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
