Dearle Marrs, 48, of Crosby, TX, passed away April 26, 2021 at Highland, TX. He was born July 4, 1972 at Falls City, NE to Jon and Sue (Gerdes) Marrs.
Dearle was raised at Salem and graduated Dawson-Verdon High School in 1990. He attended Peru State College and Kansas City Community College and graduated with an associate’s degree in mortuary science. He then became employed at Clark Funeral Home and then managed several S.C.I locations in Nebraska and Texas. He then moved to Temecula, CA where he worked for Miller-Jones Funeral Home before moving back to the Houston, TX area and worked for Carriage Services at Sterling-White Funeral Home at Highlands, TX. He was a member of Rotary and several funeral director associations.
Dearle is survived by his partner, Stacey Weeks of Crosby, parents, Sue and Bill Oberst of Salem, sister, Kim Kinder of Greenfield, MO, nieces and nephew, Karsen and Caden Sims, Addison Kinder, step-children, Michael Weeks, Cassidy Miller and her husband Logan, Elizabeth and Victoria Thomas, step-grandchildren, Tallin and Avery.
He was preceded in death by his father.
His funeral was held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. Interment will be in Maple Cemetery.
Open visitation and viewing was Saturday afternoon until 5:00 PM and on Sunday from noon until 7:00 PM.
