HAROLD E. KOPF

Harold E. Kopf, 95, of Falls City, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at Falls City. He was born March 1, 1919 at Rulo, to the late Benjamin and Alma (Wulf) Kopf.

Harold married Naomi Zimmerman on March 19, 1940 at the Zion Evangelical & Reformed Church, northeast of Falls City; she passed away Nov. 17, 2001.

He was a life-long resident of the Falls City/Rulo area. He farmed his entire life and was also a livestock producer, having lived on the same farm all his life. He was a former member of the District 53 School Board of Education, and had been a member of the FHA County Committee.

Harold was a member- and former board member – of the Zion United Church of Christ, northeast of Falls City, the Cemetery Board and also taught Sunday School for a number of years.

Survivors include: sons, Darrell (Jill) Kopf, of Sarcoxie, MO, and Daniel (Renee) Kopf, of Rulo; five grandchildren, Laura (Dale) Rice, of Sarcoxie, Bethany (Shawn) Bussard, of Republic, MO, Travis (Sara) Kopf, of Ashland, Brandt (Kathy) Kopf, of Falls City, and Logan Kopf, of Omaha; seven great-grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Naomi.

The body of Mr. Kopf has been cremated and Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at the Zion United Methodist Church of Christ, northeast of Falls City, with inurnment in the Church Cemetery.
