Bud Garl Spaulding passed away on March 18, 2021, at the Lincoln Heart Hospital.
Bud (birth name is Garl Eldon) was born September 10, 1933, in Falls City. He is the son of Garl Vernon and Fernande (Godfirnon) Spaulding.
Bud is survived by his wife, Charlene McCarthy of Salem, daughters; DoniRae Colley of Sabetha, KS, Debra Spaulding of Fairfield, CA and son, Donald Phillips of Wichita a brother, Gene (Cathy), sisters Ruth Rumery and Bobbie Lou Dix, grandchildren; Taylor and Colton Delome of Sabetha, Landyn Phillips of Wichita and Raeleen Colley of Sabetha; cousin, Jimmy Simpson of Los Angeles, CA and Jackie Spaulding of Goldendale, WA several other Godfirnon cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Edith Calcagno and son Dewayne Richard Garl Spaulding.
Bud served in the United States Navy for 16 years with the Underwater Demolition Team, a Vietnam and Korean veteran.
Bud was active in the VFW, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans which he held officer titles and positions.
Bud was laid to rest on April 9 in the Omaha National Cemetery, Omaha, NE, with full military honor guards (Millard VFW) and flag ceremony.
