Harvey Vollmer, 83, of Falls City, NE, passed away April 14, 2020 at Falls City. He was born March 16, 1937 at Falls City to Herbert and Hilda (Eickhoff) Vollmer.
He married Donna Gilkerson on August 29, 1959 at Falls City. She passed away July 29, 2018.
Harvey was raised on the family farm northwest of Falls City and graduated Falls City High School in 1954. He started farming with his father, they raised livestock and had a dairy. He farmed with his bother following the death of their father, purchasing the entire farm in 1995 and retiring in 2007. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (6 miles north of Falls City).
Harvey is survived by his children, Richard and his wife Nancy of Rulo, Debra Hauck and her husband Kevin of Fremont, NE, Mike and his wife Toni of Falls City, Kevin and his wife Julie of Verdon, sister, Dorothy Nolte of Humboldt, NE, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Harold and Edward and a great-granddaughter, Alexis in infancy.
A private family graveside committal of cremains will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery with Reverend Daniel Gifford officiating.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
