Kathryn D. Fiegener, 72, of Dawson, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 at Lincoln. She was born on April 11, 1944 at Chicago, IL, to the late Edward and Dorothy (Bobo) Brandys.
Kathryn married James Fiegener on Aug. 5, 1988 at Omaha.
She was raised in the Chicago area and graduated from Taft High School in 1962. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education. She taught at Walt Disney Elementary at Millard. When the couple married, they established their home in Dawson. She taught at North and South Falls City Public Elementary Schools until retiring in 2007. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson and a member of the Altar Society.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, James, of Dawson; daughter, Pam (Joe) Summers, of Kansas City, MO; son, Michael (Kristine) Albertson, of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Charlene (Gar) Fee, of Galina, IL; Susan (Tom) Craner, of Antioch, IL; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson, with Fr. Hoesing as the Presiding Priest. A rosary was held Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Dorr & Clark Funeral Home, of Falls City, was in charge of arrangements.
