A Celebration of films created in Nebraska and by Nebraskans

Seward, NE – The Flatwater Film Festival has announced the first annual celebration of Nebraska films and filmmakers will take place October 2-4, 2020, at the historic Rivoli Theater in downtown Seward, Nebraska.

“Nebraska has a wealth of creative talent just begging to be showcased. The Flatwater Film Festival will allow these up-and-coming filmmakers an arena to make their voices heard!” said Greg Gale, one of the creators of the festival.

Providing opportunities for new and established filmmakers, the Flatwater Film Festival looks to include educational panels, filmmaking seminars, and other face-to-face networking opportunities during its weekend in Seward. This festival understands the influence it could have within our industry, and we are ecstatic to see our community embrace our future.

Filmmakers wishing to submit their films to the festival may do so by visiting FilmFreeway.com. Submissions will be accepted until August 15, 2020.

“The magic of movies enhances experience, knowledge, and dreams.” — Julie Wisehart, owner, Rivoli Theater

The Flatwater Film Festival is an annual event committed to bringing together established and first time filmmakers from across the state of Nebraska in celebration of their art. The creation of the festival is in effort to celebrate Nebraska filmmakers by providing a non-competitive platform which will feature their work, develop a strong community which promotes inspiration and support, and ultimately fosters the next generation of Nebraska filmmakers.
