A. Pauline Borg

A. Pauline Borg, 99, of Falls City, NE, passed away June 23, 2019, at Falls City. She was born October 23, 1919, in rural Phelps County, NE to Axel and Ereka (Anderson) Carlson.

She married Kenneth Earl Borg on November 22, 1942, at Holdrege, NE. He passed away on October 29, 2007.

Pauline was raised in Holdrege and graduated Holdrege High School in 1937, then attended Kearney State College before taking employment with First National Bank of Holdrege. When married she followed her husband to Alabama, then North Carolina, then to New Jersey where he shipped overseas to Europe. She then returned to Holdrege, working at the bank again until war’s end at which time she and Kenneth settled in Minden, NE. She worked until her sons were born and then became a homemaker until 1971 when she went back to work as the Executive Director of the Minden Housing Authority at East View Court. She continued in this position for fourteen years, retiring in August of 1985. She moved to Falls City following the death of her husband and has lived here since. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Falls City, Rebekkas and United Methodist Women.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Steve and his wife Wanda of Moyock, NC, David and his wife Joyce of Falls City, Ron and his wife Connie Sterling of Phoenix, AZ, Kurt and his wife Holly Brown-Borg of Grand Forks, ND, nineteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Kenneth Carlson.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Lyle K. Schoen officiating.

The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to service time at church.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, 12:30 PM at Minden Cemetery, Minden, NE with Pastor Peter Choi presiding.
