Kenneth Voegele, 81, of Lincoln, NE (formerly of Falls City, NE), passed away June 11, 2019 in Lincoln. He was born July 10, 1937 in rural Salem, NE to Melvin and Helen (Santo) Voegele.
Kenneth was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City Sacred Heart High School in 1955. He started working at Richardson County Bank & Trust in 1959 and retired as Senior Vice President on April 30, 2006. He was a very active member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He married Elaine Hinz on June 11, 1966 in Dawson, NE.
He was one of the founding members of the Sacred Heart Endowment Fund also holding many council positions. Over the years he served as a member of the Falls City Elks Lodge #393, as a board member of the Community Medical Center, and as an active member of Falls City Downtown Modernization.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Elaine of Lincoln, children, Mary LoChiano and her husband Tony of Lincoln, Eric and his wife Tammy of Easton, PA, brothers, Melvin and Sheryl Warner, and Doug and his wife Barb both of Falls City sisters, Mary Helen McAndrews and her husband Duane, Margaret Ohm, and Susan Davidson all of Omaha, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lilian in infancy and Doris Goltz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Lawrence Stoley as the presiding priest. Inurnment will be at Falls City Catholic Cemetery.
A Parish Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Sacred Heart Endowment Fund.
