Bryan S. Wiles

   Bryan Shane Wiles, son of Mike Wiles and Cathy (Clark) Wiles, was born January 23, 1985, in Dallas, TX. 

After moving to Dawson, NE with his family, Bryan attended Dawson-Verdon Public Schools, graduating in 2003.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson.

   Bryan loved farming and had helped on the farm since he was eight years old.  He was a “John Deere Guy” through and through.  In addition to his farming, Bryan had driven trucks as an occupation and worked in construction laying underground fiber optic cable.

   In April of 2018, Bryan was united in marriage to Darcy Lunzmann at the First United Methodist Church in Auburn, Nebraska.  The couple made their home in Auburn and together were raising Bryan’s son Johnny Frank Wiles.

  Bryan was an outdoor type “country boy” with a heart of gold.  When he wasn’t farming or tending to other matters, he loved to fish and hunt.

  On the morning of Monday, May 6, 2019, Bryan was rushed to the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn.  He passed away there later that morning at the age of 34 years old.  

  His grandparents John and Bernice Powers preceded him in death.

  Those who will remember Bryan’s tender heart include his wife Darcy of Auburn; son Johnny of Auburn; mother Cathy Wiles of Lincoln; father and step-mother Mike and Sharon Wiles of Auburn; grandmother Bonnie Clark of Arkansas; sister and brother-in-law Amber and Mark Lippold of Auburn; step-sister Bethany (Bryce) Brindley of Nebraska City; step-brothers Mason Sharp of Auburn; Calvin Sharp of Auburn; adopted sisters Nevaeh and Evanii Wiles, both of Lincoln; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.  

  Funeral mass was celebrated Friday, May 10, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson.  Father Kenneth Hoesing was the celebrant.  Barb Billesbach was the accompanist for congregational hymns.  Casket bearers were Josh Dunlap, Mark Lippold, Mason Sharp, Calvin Sharp, Dennis McClarnen, and Mark Knopik.  Burial was in the Humboldt Cemetery near Humboldt.

  Services were entrusted to Hemmingsen Funeral Home of Auburn.
